PhilliasFogg was born out of our frustrations of trying to plan a vacation where we wanted to stay at friendly guest houses, eat at individual restaurants and experience some of the more unusual tourist attractions........
.......but we realised that many of these places didn't have an "internet presence"...and quite often, we would only find out about them after our arrival.
Some of them do have their own website, but quite often they could not easily be found using the search engines alone.
...so we started to make notes about the places we had discovered.........
...facilities, how easy it is to park, access for the less able of those amongst us, etc.
We thought it would be nice to put this information together so that other travellers could research these places before they set off on their vacation...
....not just leave it to chance once they'd arrived.

We have put this website together with help from some of our family and friends who also wanted to escape the crowds.
Many of the establishments on this website have been visited by one of our family or friends.
We have many friends in the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom, and we intend to expand to other countries soon.
